Thumbs up The boy's done good!

Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton and the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team - Drivers' World Champion 2008. Well done!

What a nail biting finale to the season, that was a little too close for comfort.

    Yes Steve,

What a finish, I have no nails left, it was touch and go for a bit there wasn't it.

Well done to Lewis and Mclaren! I am now looking forward to next year with no ADVERTS!

And with all the rule changes things might get mixed up a bit.

I use to love F1 but until they get rid of ridiculous fueling stops then its just not exciting any more.

It was sooooo much better when a driver had to take care of his tyres or work out how heavy footed he could be at the start with regards to his fuel load, or how many times he could use overboost to overtake (Turbo vs normally aspirated days).

Whats the point of overtaking now when you know you'll overtake them in the next round of pit stops.....

Don't get me wrong....its good to see a British driver win again....its about time.....and whatever happened to Jenson Button!

I'm still waiting for the Grand Prix Masters competition now that will be exciting ;-)

Though with it being back on the BBC I may watch the odd one or two.....

I must agree it's different to the old day's, I can't say that it's better or worse, it's just evolved. You have to agree it's better without traction or launch aids.

Interesting to see how it turns out next year with the new rules. I must admit the cars look awful with the new front wings.

The grand prix masters was great while it lasted, they talk about reviving it, but who knows?

Come on McLaren F1!! pull ya fingers out and get the car sorted, kick off is in two weeks and the boy stands no chance as it is.

At least Jenson might stand a chance now, "Come on Braun GP"

It's not looking too good right now, I'm sure with their resources they will have it fixed within a grand prix or two.

Nice to see Brawn doing so well, just hope Jens makes the most of it (I don't rate him personally).

Should be an interesting year, hopefully it will be closer racing rather than just a Macca/Ferrari two horse race.

Any way, good luck to the Woking boys!

Well looks like the Woking boys have stated to pull there fingers out, what a fantastic start by Hammy, pity Webber had other ideas.

Mcl can write off this year now anyway but what a cracking sc.rap(obscenity filter works) between RBR and BGP, this is shaping up to be a mega season not withstanding the politics.

If we still have an FIA championship next year, no fuel stops and no KERS should give us another twist and who knows who else is gonna be fighting, lets hope its more like a 6 horse race than a 2 horse.

Great to see Mark get his 1st win, he's waited a long time for that. BGP will have to keep looking over their shoulder now.

Very encouraging for Macca, but too late now. They do need to finish as high in the championship as possible to get as much prize money out of Bernie as possible.

It's certainly been a strange season - on and off track
